Exceeding vat threshold ???

Hello

Just looking at accounts for sole trader private hire car company, For 2011-12 their sales

were £73,600, so exceeding vat threshold of £73,000 for 2011-12. I only had the accounts

passed to me today !!

can I deduct some income from March 2012 as possibly unpaid at the year end, in order

to fall below the threshold?

Then, I need to check with client if they are likely to be exceeding this year, and perhaps

consider a registration

Thank you
