Excel add ins

I received Excel files created in Excel 2003. This had an add in in respect of Currency rates. I did some work on them. Now I have Excel 2010, but there are always error messages appearing.

In the past I have sent the files back to the senders, and they correct them somehow. Can someone tell me how to fix the problem myself?

Do you know the the name of the add-in? And what error message(s) do you get?

Is it definitely an addin and not a macro in the file?

Do you have any problems with other Excel 2003 files?
