I have an FPS to file for one employee. I use moneysoft and usually file on / around the 30th of the month.
I am going away tomorrow. Can I file an FPS early with moneysoft? If I click the RTI schedule it doesn't show as due yet and I have searched the notes and cannot find anything.

yes I file mine early (before the paydate) using Moneysoft most months - it will let you.
And same as you, I am also trying to work out best way forward to cover for holidays......
On the main screen - 7th icon from left is the RTI button - highlight the month you want to file - eg 30th July
Click view/file - you get the dialogue box "This return is due on or before 30/7/14 - click on ok it lets you file as per normal
Your issue about March 15 is beyond my knowledge I'm afraid. Looks like you were highlighted on the March15 line in the data input screen just before you filed June RTI - I similarly messed this up a few months ago and logged it with Moneysoft - if you want to pm me I can forward their response - might make more sense to you than it did to me, but they didn't seem phased by it.
Sorry, I am blethering (it's late) - my issue a couple of months ago was the submission of a future EPS, not FPS
Sounds like March15 FPS shown as submitted is the problem - don't know how you get round that. Maybe one for after your holiday - late filing doesn't hit until October anyway I think
the joys of RTI - what will they think of next???
I'm already working on auto enrolment at the moment, and will have this daft Scottish rate of tax to contend with in the next couple of years as well
Switch off, enjoy your holiday; it'll be here when you get back, recharged with a clear head
cheers

Late returns for 2014-15 onwards
New late filing penalties will apply to returns due from employers for the tax year 2014-15 onwards. Having listened to customer feedback, HMRC is deferring the start of these penalties to give HMRC and employers more time to adapt to reporting in real time. They will now start from 6 October 2014. To avoid late filing penalties, you must make sure all submissions due are fully up to date by 5 October 2014.
Where payment information is not received as expected on an FPS, or you haven't told HMRC that no employees have been paid in a tax period by sending an EPS, late filing penalties will apply. These rules apply to each PAYE scheme, rather than each employer. So, if you operate more than one PAYE scheme you need to make sure that the FPS for each individual PAYE scheme reference is submitted on time or, where there were no payments made to any employees for a particular scheme for a tax period, you told HMRC by sending an EPS.
no late filing fees until October 14 per HMRC website - I'm sure you/Moneysoft can fix it before then

sounds like something has corrupted on the moneysoft file mate.
I had a similar thing on one of mine last week.
If you look at one of your previous RTI submissions and then look further into the actual data sent to Hmrc you will probably find that the data is for a different month to what the actual submission is saying.
It's an indexing problem and sometimes happens when you unlock previous submitted figures.
I mailed the file to moneysoft and they e mailed it back repaired.
Viewing Hmrc data
Click on a RTI submission sent so it opens up the window
Across the top there will be the bar that says when it was filed. Click on that
This then opens up another screen with a couple of grey coloured tabs. One says something like "view data submitted to Hmrc"
Click on that and you'll see a horrible looking list of tags and codes which is pretty difficult to understand but if you scroll down to the actual figures submitted you'll see that dates to which the submission actually refers.
I'm guessing that those dates will be different to what the initial screen is indicating
