Hi
Partition walls are included in List C of the CA Act 2001 so I believe they are treated as plant. However it does say
13.Partition walls, where moveable and intended to be moved in the course of the qualifying activity.
I'm not sure whether the walls are intended to be moved in the OP's scenario.
Those more knowledgeable will be able to confirm or put me right.

you have not provided enough info - what requirements are you making it suitable for?
If for the housing of plant or altered to fit new plant, then there may be an argument that the ceiling is plant too, if you are using it for decorative treatment then likewise, if it is just to make the ceiling lower because that is spacially better then difficult because really depends on the trade/business. In general terms though suspended ceilings will not tend to qualify.
