Google Adwords

Google Adwords

Didn't find your answer?

I apologise in advance if this is a bit of "how long is a piece of string" question.

But I am looking to sign up more compliance work and move away from consultancy stuff
I have been doing this last year.

I am thinking of giving Google Adwords a go in the new year so reading up up on it
Now as I must admit the workings of Google are a mystery to me.

For a 1 man outfit working from home what would you need to spend to get a return from it.

Crowded market
My experience, using Adwords for a number of years, is its a crowded market, and the returns aren't great.

I don't seem to see a new business correlation from switching them on or off, but I keep going back, I think due to FMO (Fear of missing out).

One observation I would make is that its not "set and forget" - in the early days of a camp certainly you have to monitor cost per click closely - you can spend £5 a click to be number 1 when number 2 or 3 is a fraction of that - it's a case is watching average page placement closely.

I tend to limit budget too £10 a day, so around £300 a month, and not chase the busy - and therefor expensive - keywords

Good luck.

I am currently doing google adwords. Hefty £4 a click. Most of the time I think its competitors clicking on me early morning to get rid of me (the competition!). By 10am I have used up my allowance for the day!

Moving up the organic listing in Google is a better option, takes time and money to pay an expert. You can only do so much before handing it over to the experts.

Use an expert they will have discounted packages and will help on key words or buy email lists or direct mail lists they are more cost effective and a better conversation rate.
