Happy New Year 2015 Are you enjoying been back to work?

Happy New Year 2015 Are you enjoying been back...

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

Happy New Year to everyone.  This is probably the first day back for everyone.   I forgot to do the washing up in the office before I left so that was nice to come back to.    Who has broken their resolutions already.

Last year I did the Common Wealth Games .  This year I am going to learn how to drive,  I have put it off for years but at 45 I have been waiting for driverless cars, but I think we may be a bit off yet. My husband is getting agitated with me never driving.

I still think I will prefer my bike and the train but yes it would be good to learn how to drive in an emergency.  Mind you I might cause that emergency on the road for someone.  I would rather spend my money on a holiday then a second car, but if  I do buy a car I would like it to be an orange Herby convertable.

I've Been putting it off for years ... and this year I've already put it off to March, January is too busy, dark & gloomy, February I move firms, and sort out some Decor/DIY at home, so that will keep me busy  ....  March is a little warmer and brighter :-)

Alas diverless cars seem so far away

Driverless cars maybe not as far away as you think

"Greenwich, in south-east London, and Bristol will each host a project of their own, while Coventry and Milton Keynes will share a third."

I live near to Greenwich, so will let you know when I see one!

I wouldn't be surprised if in 10 years you see a few of them around on most roads.  I've not driven since I passed my test 20 years ago, but I think I would get a driverless one, if the price was right.

Husbands as driving instructors

He might get even more agitated if he takes you out as a learner driver!

That is quite possibly the fastest route to divorce that exists.

After just shy of 25 years of marriage we tend not to argue very much, probably exhaustion. However both of us in the same car can readily bring out a degree of niggle (Speed, navigation, perspective from passenger seat etc)  and that is with one of us driving and the other as a passenger. Ratcheting this up to where one of us was a learner would likely have ended our marriage a long time ago; taking my nephew out to practice for a day was bad enough and is never going to be repeated.

Happy new year!

I'm also learning to drive at the grand old age of 24, but it's difficult at any age. My test is this month - argh!

Good luck Sarah and Happy New Year.

God No

Hi

Don,t worry I going to pay for lessons.  Never mind divorce my husband would kill me.  He thinks I am irresponsible on bike and I am deaf as a post in a car.

He has no intention of letting me near his car until I can drive as he puts it. He just wants me to learn how to drive so I can do the driving on some of long journeys we do to visit my friends which is fair enough.

I hope you pass Rachel

I hope you pass Rachael and Happy New Year.  Have you had any thoughts on what car you would like and what colour?. How long have you been learning?.  Our you going to take lessons on the motorway after you pass.  That is what frightens me the most.

I am also hoping to be a volunteer this year for the http://www.2015worldgymnastics.com/  application is in and has been verified and hopefully because I was a volunteer before I will be lucky.
