HMRC emails me to say P9's have been issued, but there are none listed when I log in. Has anyone else been having this happen to them?

Received notification yesterday - I use PDV desktop viewer but there were no new notices. Have checked via the Gateway too; nothing there.

Yes - they'll be 2016/17 notices. As hje says, change the tax year and Bob's your uncle.
I queried this with HMRC early last year. They looked into it and said they couldn't find anything wrong, but I still get the emails but no notices. I got one today. And I do make sure I check the correct year.
I have had two emails today (16.10) to notify me of P9 notices. None there yet.
Will check again tomorrow
2016/17
I have had 3 today, baffled me at first, but as hje comments, they will probably relate to 2016/17.
All mine did, just change the tax year!
Bug in Online Software
I had this scenario with one of my clients and when I called the HMRC online helpdesk I was told there is a known bug in the system but they only correct it if you call them to report it. I had not received any notices for a 50 person payroll for a few months and being suspicious of this siuation I called HMRC. About 2 weeks after I spoke to them the error was fixed and I received a number of notices. It might be worth calling them to make sure this is not the issue.
Me too! And not for the first time.
Has happened with me several times. And again day. The email notification comes in. I log-in & check current tax year - and future tax year. But no P9. However, they do sometimes 'appear' a few days/weeks after the email is rcvd. Typical HMRC's IT systems not functioning as well as they flippin' well ought to in this day and age!
Yes, a missing P9 case here too / broken RTI / PAYE code system
A client forwarded to me their eMail from HMRC stating that a P9 was available online to view. So log in and find nothing to view.
Not surprising given that the PAYE code system is currently defective in another way, ie. new 2016/17 code to employer but not visible to agent when the employee is in SA, for 2016/17.
I'm glad it's not just me. I received a notification email yesterday evening (one or more P9 notices have been issued etc etc) and checked on the gateway where it said no new notices have been issued.
Checked again today...
and they are all there now. It was nothing to do with changing the year as I had already checked that. So the email was two days ago and they appear today....hmm
Am I missing something?
I can only find a box to change the year once I have selected a client, not from the general Recent Notices option.
As the email notification does not detail who it is for do I need to go into every client first and change the year to check if the notification related to them?

Received another email notification, checked more out of hope as last checked only about 30 minutes ago and 17 P9s for 16 different clients have appeared.
