Has anyone checked Sage for renewal quotes?
Has anyone contacted Sage recently about their anticipated charges for their renewals? We use SAPA and were quoted an exorbitant increase of 61% - yes that was 61% -on last year. I must confess it was as well I was sitting at the time - I asked the Sage rep (We don't seem to have an account manager anymore - yet another change?) was she sure she was quoting the correct figure and she confirmed this. Helpfully (so she thought) she informed me I could pay the difference over 2 years but I reiterated that it was still the same increase no matter how I paid. I cannot see how Sage can justify such an increase - hello have they heard of the recession - and am currently reviewing another supplier. We also use business, personal and CT tax packages as well as payroll, and there are increases to these also. When I told the rep I would be looking at alternatives, she simply said "Ok then"
So Folks please be aware of this situation and make sure you find out what Sage has in store for you as there does not appear to be any offers available to current subscribers - rather they appear to be intending to maximise their own earnings potential from us all. Fair enough we are all in business, but 61% of an increase in one year!?!?!?!?I simply can't believe this increase and am interested in anyone else's experience.
