This is for me personally, not as an agent. I'm registered on the gateway and trying to register for self assessment for the last few months. I have email confirmation from HRMC that the activation code has been ordered - but its has not arrived. Three times now. I'm now running out of time with January looming - and don't know how to resolve.
I have called in and confirmed my details and address in particular are property registered. And our mail service is usually very good. So, I'm inclined to think its an HRMC issue - I have to think they aren't actually processing the order correctly.
I'm going to try a fourth time, but if that doesn't work - I guess I can't do my return online.
Any advice welcome!

Doesn't sound good!
I've had the odd ones go missing but 3 is very unlucky, they must have a problem their end.
If you get really desperate with timescales, send me your tax return and I can submit on my agent code for you as you have missed the paper deadline.
