My question
I have authorise one of client for elf assessment, the client have provided me his authorisation code which I have entered on my gateway more than a week ago but still my client doesn't show on my agent gateway. Before I call to HMRC to find this out , can anyone answer, is it normal or something wrong here? Thanks

when you get the authorisation code you enter this on the HMRC self-assessment site.
The next day you need to check the Government Gateway site & allocate it on there.
The client should appear on the self-assessment site 24b hours after the last step.
Has the client dissapeared entirely?
I've had 3 instances where this has happened, the first time was a "blip" HMRC's end and they rectified quickly. The second, I submitted the code but logged out too quickly and it didn't register so the client was still sat in the section awaiting authorisation code and the third (which was odd) - clients are listed in alphabetical order on your client list, this particular clients surname began with B so I assumed it would be on the first page, somehow it ended up on one of the middle pages ! Worth looking through your entire client list and not just where you'd expect it to appear.

I entered codes for both SA and VAT a few hours ago and the client is on both my lists already. I have never known it to happen so quickly.
