HMRC online P6 notifications

HMRC online P6 notifications

Didn't find your answer?

In the last few days I have received emails from HMRC notifying me of new P6 tax code notifications available via our online account.

The trouble is, when I access our account, HMRC seem to think that the "Current tax year" is 2012/13, with 2013/14 being the next most recent option available from the drop down menu.  2014/15 isn't available as an option at all (and consequently the online account informs me that there are no new notifications)..

Before I ring to get passed from pillar to post, is anyone else having this problem?

Many thanks

Stephen

sounds like
Hmrc have been too concerned with RTI that they have forgotten to update this part of the system.

I raised am issue a couple of weeks ago that our employer clients are not getting notices at all when there is a change in employee tax code.

All this means is that I feel that there will be a lot of under/over tax payments at the end of 2014/15, if my employer clients are part of the norm.

Perfect reason for an appeal against an underpayment of tax??

Not a problem we have experienced

Try using PAYE Desktop Viewer.  When you get an e-mail, it will download all the notices that are available for all the clients for whom you are authorised as agents for PAYE.  No need to grapple with the PAYE Online interface.

I've just downloaded it.  That's really useful.

Thanks Euan!

That is probably the best thing that HMRC have ever done, and thank you so much Euan for the link :-)
