HMRC signed accounts

HMRC signed accounts

Didn't find your answer?

I have found that accounts submitted to HMRC for IHT purposes are not consistent with those published at Companies House. The ones submitted to HMRC are unsigned both by the company directors and the auditors is the submission of unsigned accounts normal.  Thanks.

Yes ...

... the submission of unsigned accounts is normal, in fact submission to HMRC is online.

Submission to Companies House are only signed if filed as paper copies, most I would hazard are filed onine.

The accounts will have to show the name of the person who approved them though.

But, what has IHT got to do with companies accounts filed with HMRC, unless they are the basis of valuing shares in a company owned by the deceased?
