I work in manufacturing and our holidays are set in line with the construction industry ie 2 weeks at christmas & july, 1 week at easter, 1 day May etc. Wages are paid a week in arrears. Last week there was a day off for Halloween, so all employees will get paid holiday pay for that day, this week. However, we do have one employee who has a sickline from the doctor for last week, meaning he will get SSP. What do I do in this situtation? Do I add an additional amount to his sick pay up to what he would have got for holiday pay, or do I hold it over until he returns to work?

that in his pay along with SSP, if he does not return to work then that will be a reduction in his holiday pay due when leaving.
