How to format Co-operative Accounts

How to format Co-operative Accounts

Didn't find your answer?

Hi All,

I have been asked to help prepare some accounts for a Co-operative/Registered Society business (like Ltd, pays tax but reports to FCA & not CH). A Co-operative/Registered Society was previously called "Industrial and Provident Societies" and has a company number starting IP. It is regulated under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014

Anyway I've been hunting for the correct format for the accounts but I can' seem to find anything useful on preparing them! Does anyone have experience of preparing these accounts or if I push my luck to the limit, does anyone have any examples they could/would be prepared to  share.

Any and all help and advice is greatly received and appreciated.

Lee

FCA

There's plenty of information on the website.

You can always ask them for further information.

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately there is very little information on the FCA website about annual accounts (annual returns yes, annual accounts no!) and even the FCA staff could give me a definitive answer (i.e. complete the accounts like a limited company or there is no format etc).

I wonder if anyone has completed Co-operative accounts and wouldn't mind sharing their thoughts or format or even confirming or denying my thoughts that I should prepare them based on limited company format.

Thanks again
