How many payrolls do you manage & pension uploads?

How many payrolls do you manage & pension uploads?

Didn't find your answer?

Good morning - sorry this could be long!

Like most of you, we are working to integrate a pension solution for our clients.

These are small domestic employers, so have no knowledge of payroll let alone pensions and AE.

We are an avid Moneysoft user and it does everything we need - 'till now!

Unlike the RTI batch processor that allows us to send all RTI in one go to HMRC. There is not (and will not be) any provision for sending CSV files to pension providers. I accept this and there are many options of pension and each requires a different format/data etc.

I understand that NOW can accept one large CSV with many different employers but when speaking with them about accepting a bulk upload odf CSV files they shift the blame to payroll software manufacturers.

To me the the issue could be solved unilaterally if NOW (or whoever) could accept multiple CSV batch uploads, thus negating the need for every different payroll manufacturer to re-develop their software.

Alternatively is there a way to import data from 100's of small CSV files in to onle large one without the need to open copy and paste individually?

How are others going to manage the data upload to the pension providers?

NOW are suggesting Qtac (http://www.qtac.co.uk/) will be working on a single file solutuion, anyone use them for payroll?

Looked also at brightpay - but no RTI batch (yet I'm told) and CSV still single upload only so not a contender (although you can EYU but we only did 2/800 last year using BPT so of little benefit)

Although I'm loathed to leave Moneysoft - I need a solution that can meet all my needs, or is it just a pipe dream?

Thanks if you have got this far (and advance apologies for any spelling or grammatical errors)

Regards

Wieslaw

Agreed

This is a major problem.  I know Moneysoft are looking at a solution for this because I raised it with them today.    I'm wondering if its worthwhile moving weekly paid staff to monthly which would reduce the work required to less than a quarter of what it is now

I read on accounting web that Bright pay will have a batch solution from 15/16 but I too am loathe to move away from Moneysoft.

Having spoken to Now:Pensions and a software development company  I believe a solution will almost definitely come but we could be a year or so away so there could be some pain till then.

Given the considerable extra work are payroll providers looking to charge more ? With say 100 payrolls, just submitting the data to pension providers could be a full time job in itself if they are dealing with a weekly paid payroll
