Husband bought car but can wife claim allowances

Husband bought car but can wife claim allowances

Didn't find your answer?

A sole trader uses a motor car for business purposes and wishes to claim for actual maintenance costs, capital allowances and hire purchase interest. The vehicle was bought in the husband's name but recognised as car bought for wife.

Does she need to request the finance company to transfer ownership to claim the allowances or can the keeper be recognised by car insurance documents and the fact that the husband has another car.

Keep left

The keeper is not recognised as the owner, and you don't have to be the legal owner to claim CAs. The only problem is the HP payments.
