we have received codes for M12 2012 13 that are wildly wrong eg P11D benefits which are not taxable such as travel have been included as an addition to the PA as 'job expenses', if we process them the employee gets a huge rebate and then of course they will ask for it all back later when its spent aah i am ignoring it any ramifications

I do
Gave up with HMRC three years ago and the avalanche of incorrect, wild guess, nonsense tax codes. After realising that they totally lacked credibility decided that we would ignore them.
Been doing so ever since and it all works out perfectly. No PAYE deductions lent to HMRC only to be reclaimed back (without interest) a year later. And sometimes vice versa, no silly undue refunds.
If HMRC ever want to discuss this I suggest they arrive with full body armour.
I have no idea
But thinking about it I would never allow HMRC access to any of my systems, they can send what they like but they are not having any option to meddle with my software.
I read somewhere (here?) that HMRC were giving thought to allowing agents to change tax codes online. Hope they do, that would be great.
