I have had problems with the incorrect prices being charged on invoices. I need to add a column onto the 'create new invoice' popup to show the size of the product to try and reduce the incorrect pricing, can anyone help?

Crystal ball
Everybody's gone to look for a crystal ball to see if they can work out what accounting software you are using
Major aggravation with Line 50
If you don't have Sage support, adjusting their awful templates without help is sometimes more than I can personally bear. I need to adjust my own invoice layout and will be calling support for help very soon.
antiquated sage
they really need to drag themselves out of the stone -age and get a new engine instead of just tinkering around and adding bits on here and there .. awful and expensive
the only relatively "good" thing is the fast batch data entry for large numbers of transactions
example - it auto formats date correctly (some packages require a slash between date digits)
the rest is garbage .. hiding away all the important reports (for example, age drs/crs) in absurdly tiresome sub-folders....
and those awful templates
plus a terrible export facility to sage .. what a mess
issues with restoring data from some previous versions..
prehistoric "month and year end routines"... WTF !!... I always get a deja-vu experience and think I have time travelled and ended up back in the 1980's peering into the CRT monitor of an Amstrad PC1512 fitted out with a brand new 5 mb hard drive on an expansion card I had just fitted
I could go on .. and on ...
Back to the question . I would use an excel template and ignore sage
qad 999 - I'm not quite sure which planet you are on, but before I go into any detailed explanation of anything I really would like to know, bearing in mind the time of your post, why would anyone need an export facility from Sage to Sage - as per your statement 'plus a terrible export facility to sage .. what a mess' Are you talking about transference of data between 2 Sage programs? If so, which programs are you referring to? If not, can I take it that you have come to the end of a very long week?
sage to excel , not sage to sage

sorry I meant to say " terrible export facility to excel"
and yes I had issues that day (again) trying to access/restore client backups (from various sage versions) ..onto my multi company version
sometimes its just easier to ask clients to forward reports in pdf (nominal activity, age drs/crs etc)
Don't use it...

Don't even own sage. Just pull reports from clients that I need.
I've come across a few programs that naff up reports when dumping to excel, sage included. I find if you dump to CSV rather hath an xlsx it tends to format much nicer.
but...it shouldnt happen in the first place

If you maintain your product (stock) records properly you should not have any problems with incorrect pricing appearing on sales invoices. This principle applies whether you are using Sage (any version) Kashflow, VT, Quickbooks or any accounting package. One thing that a lot of people seem to forget these days is that computers have not yet been created that can have original thought. They can only work using the data that is pre-programmed into them. If this is wrong, the output will be wrong.
PS You will also have to ensure that, when invoicing, you choose the correct product number.
