IXBRL tax computation template for R&D relief

IXBRL tax computation template for R&D relief

Didn't find your answer?

Hi

As an accountant working in industry, I am no longer involved in preparing accounts and comps en mass (used to be!).

I have only one client left, my brother's small limited company!

I've been looking after his books for some 12 years now, so can't really shake him off?!  I actually enjoy doing it as it keeps the accountant alive in me!

I've moved into a finance risk & control role so don't really do too much double entry these days!

Anyway, all was peaceful until this ixbrl stuff came along and threw a spanner in the works, in that he makes a claim for R&D relief in his comps.

This means that I can't use the free online HMRC website system to load his comps/accounts.

Rather than me invest undue time and energy in trying to fathom it all out and tag a set of comps on Excel, is anyone kind enough to share a 'bog standard' blank Excel template that includes a claim for R&D relief?

Many thanks in advance.

hmmmm
I have one client I took on last year and we submitted (after agreeing with inspector) a revised ct600 to claim a significant uplift that the inspector almost encouraged. To be honest I hadn't considered how this years claim would work under ixbrl so your post has got me thinking!

I am assuming my taxsoftware (taxcalc) will help me but for you that may not work.

I know hmrc do accept some non xbrl attachments so I was wondering if you could try that?
