Just looked at the Personal Savings Allowance issued today and about to forward it on to those who might be interested - explaining why their interest from banks and BSs will no longer have tax deducted at source - but then spotted a howler. It ignores the fifting of the PA for 2016/17 to £11,000 instead of £10,800 and the increase in the Basic Rate band from £31,900 to £32,000. There is also official guidance issued at the same time in the same press release and this is correct.
