From today's Daily Mail website, I just read that Accountant Susan Taylor died yesterday, one mile from the French coast.
She was swimming the channel in aid of Diabetes UK and the Rainbows Childrens Hospice.
Whatever the stereotype of the accountant may be, I think this lady broke it.

How did it happen?
That is really tragic. I thought channel swimmers had a support team in a boat?
Her family will be devastated, and particularly sad that she died while trying to help others.

Because Susan was an energetic networker, she was very well known within the profession and has a lot of connections with other AccountingWEB members. I'm sure she will be very sadly missed.
