Kitchen on vehicle

Kitchen on vehicle

Didn't find your answer?

I'm sure this is fine but wanted to get a second opinion. Client runs mobile food vans and has incurred nearly 100k in installing kitchens onto vans and trucks to drive round various sites. When it comes to the capital allowance treatment its fine to claim AIA against these additions isn't it?

Yes

As the vehicles are vans and not cars, AIAs are in principle available for this expenditure. This is obviously subject to any unusual circumstances - e.g. allowances are not given for a partnership with a corporate member.
