Laptops, which nowadays a must have ended up being the excellent target of robberies and security breaches could be guaranteed by utilizing various laptop safety measures. Now, only software or only hardware laptop security isn't enough for safeguarding the PC. A mix of both is recognised as towards the best security solution that may safeguard against just about all risks. You have to keep in mind that basically setting up and anti-virus software or anti-spy ware software or other anti-software isn't enough for laptop security, a normal check and update of those installed software is extremely necessary to be able to counter the most recent infections and malware. my1login software is one best software for computer protection and prevent from unauthorised login.

And the reason for using ...

@Jenifferd4u

... the advertised security product when they themselves use Google Analytics and on the face of it do not adhere to the EU policy on cookies ?

Don't see any actual or implied cookie consent on this site - i.e. they themselves are in breach!

Security it's just antivirus

In addition to antivirus you may also want to consider encryption as if you will be storing client documents and other sensitive material if someone steals you laptop then just using a password doesn't stop them from accessing that information.

Truecrypt (it's free) offer a full hard disk encryption system which means prior to windows booting you enter a password and without that Windows won't load, as the hard disk is then fully encrypted if someone tried to bypass the local copy of windows by using a bootdisk the hard disk will be unreadable.

Review

A review of my1login can be found here - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2407514,00.asp

It looks very much like a password managment system rather than any form of antivirus though...

The quote from the BBC is also slightly misleading as it's just taken from a BBC report on start-ups - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17609687 and the phrase "aims to simplify the way passwords are used online"  could just as easily be "aims to build a ladder to the moon", doesn't mean it's actually possible ;-)

Also not sure about this part of their terms of use -

"You understand and agree that MY1LOGIN assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, mis-delivery or failure to store any user communications, usernames, passwords or personalisation settings."
