If you mean simple control by one shareholder it's 50% of the shares in issue plus one.

Control

As always, a simple question may not have a simple answer.

"Control" has subtly different meanings for different parts of tax legislation. Just a few definitions

ICTA s774(4), ITA 2007 s995 and 1021, CTA2009 s1316,CTA 2010 s1124and1176 SI1987/530 reg2 , IHTA s269 etc.

Broadly voting control or power  other than through simple voting control to control Board decisions  will give control, but whether associated persons are taken into account will vary depending on which legislation is in point.

If you are asking if a shareholder is to be considered  when calculating if that shareholder together with his or her associates has control, there is no minimum.

Tax?
We don't know whether the question has anything to do with tax.

My infant school teacher used to say " 'I want' never gets".
