My Indiegogo campaign is more nogo - anybody know why?

My Indiegogo campaign is more nogo - anybody...

Didn't find your answer?

My wife (before she divorced me) used to say, "God loves a trier". And that's me, I give it 110%: give me a problem and I'll come up with a list of unconventional but viable solutions that hadn't crossed your mind.

Left-field and practical too!

But the Indigogo campaign, which has just 10 days to go has not shown much promise - nobody - but nobody has kicked in so much as a £1 - I put in £1 just to check it was all working!

Can anybody tell me if I'm doing something terribly wrong?

Campaign here: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/this-will-be-the-next-ebook-from-tax-hell-co-uk

Thanks

Nick

£1000 isn't that much in the grand scheme of things so maybe people don't see why you can't put your own hand in your pocket to raise the target amount.

Things are looking up. £26 so far, 3% of total.

Could be your message isn't making It to your target market.

All those negative vibes?

Hi Nick - speaking personally, reading up on things like battling HMRC over investigations, is all a bit "negative".  People are far more likely to pay for some posi reading on how they can pay less tax, rather than how to avoid or pay less in penalties, it's human nature.

Whilst I hesitate to write this down, in the past 30 years, dealing with hundreds of clients, I've probably had to deal with less than 10 investigations/enquiries/record checks, only one of which was horrible and so I'll stick to Ruby Wax's latest on my Kindle then on yours I'm afraid.

This all reminds me of the people who go abroad on holiday with no, or inadequate, holiday insurance, millions do it but only a tiny proportion get practical experience of the possible consequences. Only then do they become committed to and interested in the topic of how injury or illness abroad can ruin your finances and mental health and in what gold star travel insurance to get.

Sorry

Sorry

You will only get interest from those who have been through a tough investigation like yours.

Everyone else is just like "oh well, i've never had one of them so it doesn't affect me".

But I do commend what you are doing :)

.

When I write, I write. Then I publish it. If people like it I get paid. If they don't, I don't.

I should point out I have a 'proper' publisher and they wont pay an advance.

+ laugh it up people who read my illiterate posts. Its true I have two proper published books and numerous ebooks. All I can say is my wife is an excellent proof reader.

While you can, god doesn't love a trier or anybody else for that matter. Jesus loves me I just like him!
