A new record for me!

A new record for me!

Didn't find your answer?

Last year I filed my 2011-12 accounts the day before they were due. This year I am ready to file them today (yesterday was the last day of my financial year). I have to give much of the credit to Xero for the bank feeds, which I use twice a week to track my debtors and ensure I chase up any late invoices.

With both children at school full-time and starting a lease at a new office tomorrow I really need to make 2012-13 count hence my keenness to get this done.

The only thing scuppering me is the fact I cannot access the tax module for 2012-13 to file my personal tax return, so I have to wait another 5 days. Very annoying!!

Congrats, SD :)

I hope the rest of the year is just as productive, and pleasurable for you.

Good luck with your new office. I hope it all works out well for you. :)

What type of office did you choose in the end

Just wondering what you chose to do in the end - I followed quite a lot of your 'running out of space' thread - but must have missed the conclusion?

Good luck with it, anyway.

Moving in today!

I found a really smart office less than 1 minutes walk from my house. It's on the side of a major A road so an excellent opportunity to get my business noticed. The best bit is it has lots of windows so its a much nicer space than I have looked at previously. I'm going to be sharing the rent with my bookkeeper (she runs her own seperate business). We've managed to get the first month rent free and will be working on a rolling monthly licence which makes it much less scary for us. The landlord has even said we can have use of office furniture left behind by the tennant of another unit, which is going to save us a lot of money.

We're both really surprised we managed to get such a good deal, particularly as the unit was advertised as a 6 year lease with a 1 year break clause. Just goes to show, if you dont ask you dont get!

I also managed to get a decent adf scanner on ebay for £3.04! I think it is going to take a while to implement the paperless office solution, but Im happy in the meantime we will have an office space we can be proud to take clients to for meetings.

Thank you for your words of support and advice!
