New tax year Sunday

New tax year Sunday

Didn't find your answer?

While we all make personal resolutions on 1 January - hope they're still going strong, by the way - the new tax year is starting Sunday 6 April.

So I'm asking, have you got any tax/finance resolutions that you want to make? It could be for you, for your clients or for your practice.

Let us know for a bit of Friday fun.

I did wonder...

... about asking those nice folk at HMRC for a tax "holiday", like the banks do.

Do the tax returns early

I had a bit of struggle and was stressed during January 2014 finishing off SA.

This year I want to plan it and finish most of them much early.

More planning

Planning workloads and chasing clients more to get work in early. This has already started, but I am looking at getting a big push on this. There will always be some clients that come in near deadline regardless, but they will be easier to deal with if everyone else is done already.

My January resolution, to not have any alcohol for all of 2014, is still going strong. The strange looks for no longer ordering beer are dying down. The strange looks for my regular alternative drink continue.
