NIL P11D Forms

NIL P11D Forms

Didn't find your answer?

A client Company has had a Form P11D(b) and relevant attachments submitted for years up to 2012/13.  However, a dispensation notice was then applied for and put in place to cover the full 2013/14 tax year.  We have still received a "Payment of Class 1A NIC" Form for 2013/14.

My software will not allow me to submit a NIL Form P11D(b), so therefore should we:-

1.  Post in (to what address) a signed P11D(b) form with the "No expenses" box ticked,

2.  Ignore the Forms and have HMRC assume nothing is due,

3.  Post back only the Payment Form stating NIL in the amount due box.

A decision appreciated obviously before the 6th July deadline.

File nil returns

Penalty notices will issued if you don't and you'll then spend more time appealing and getting grief from the client.

yes always file a "NIL" p11d

if its not a penalty it will be a coding error for the employee, since you failed to file the p11d

Nil return filing options

In the circumstances where BOTH of the above apply:

EOY RTI filing said P11D forms to followNotice from HMRC to file P11D received

Then I consider it, to be of the safe side, necessary to file a nil declaration.

Here are some of the ways to file a nil declaration re: P11D / benefits in kind:

Structured email at followinf webpage:

https://online.hmrc.gov.uk/shortforms/form/EXBENoRtn?dept-name=&sub-dept...

Paper form that you've received

Yes you definitely need to file the Nil P11D but here's HOW you do it.

Any Accounting Software can't file the online NIL P11D, hence you may either:
1. send back the form by post with Nil values for expenses and benefits, or
2. Notify HMRC by using their i-form which can be found at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/paye-no-return-of-class-1a-na...

Afraid you have been caught by a trending post (A Web trends things that are years out of date), the original date was 2014; , just demonstrates how poorly the new website performs, yet again.
