No CT41G form sent for Ltd

Hello

A Company  was incorporated on the 10 Jan 2011  and became active on 17th April 2012.

They are not sure if they send a form to make the company dormant for the period before 17th April 2012.

I logged on to companies house for the Ltd  and can see that accounts are due for the Ltd to to be made upto 31st Jan 2012

Is this a solution to the above problem

1. Donot send CT41G form

2. Change the Accounting reference date to 31st March 2012 [covering from inception to this date]

3. Submit dormant accounts on companies house for the dates in 2.
