Didn't find your answer?

Today i received a one page letter from HMRC noting the various dates and account references for making PAYE payments electronically in relation to tax year 2014/2015.
I was just about to throw it away when i noticed they had changed the PAYE accounts office reference itself, without drawing attention to that key change.
Best check yours!

PAYE payment booklet - lack of - abolished?

This notice from HMRC infers that payment booklets will be no more.

I still have a minority of clients who prefer to pay by post or over a bank or Post Office counter.

Last time I tried to get a payment booklet from HMRC for a client it took several months, so I had to compose a template letter for them to send with the (cheque) payments that they were due to make.

There still are employers who do not have either computer equipment knowledge, and whilst HMRC's answer might be "use an internet cafe or library" there are clearly security risks going down this route especially for inexperienced computer users.

PAYE Booklet 2014/15

I phoned the Revenue today and asked about the booklets for 2014/15. They advised me that if a booklet is still required they can issue one upon request. A few more phone calls to HMRC coming up then...
