opening accounting links/files saved from CT600

opening accounting links/files saved from CT600

Didn't find your answer?

hi, i would be very grateful for any suggestions to help with this problem. I have not been able to open any accounts links which are saved while completing the accounts for submission to HMRC using CT600.

its kind of urgent as I have only 2 more days to submit and have just realised that I had not completed them. I need the previous years submitted statuatory accounts to open to complete the current ones, especially as I am a newbie to all this

many thanks for any or all help

Hi,

thought I did add this for any other forum member who might have similar problem, as I forgot to mention it earlier. The problem with opening the links persists even with the accounts just saved/downloaded, for reading and printing, from CT600 during completion of current accounts.

Many thanks for your reply. Have just tried it - has not worked. The accountant I had paid the fees for this accounting period turned out to be a scammer. He did do last years accounts but would not provide me any further details as a means of punishing me for complaining!! And I need last years statuatory accounts for completion of current years and also to understand what is what. Cannot afford to pay twice for the same work. Feelign pretty stressed.

would be helpful if anyone had any ideas.

The message that comes up when I try to open it is ' there is no program associated with the file to perform this action. Instal the file or associate a program with it in the default programs'.

Ct600
I helped a friend submit her accounts on-line and she did not have access to previous years return.( due to dispute with accountant over the fees charged). Hmrc were willing to 'talk. ' through the prior year figures once the friend had proved who she was

still a major prob - unable to print off the accounts

The above problem of being unable to open the statutory, abbreviated accounts and the computations links saved from CT600 is still paralysing - as I need to now print abbreviated accounts for paper submission to Companies House for amendment of accounts submitted to them, as the Corporation Tax amount and the amount set aside for liabilities have been amended on the just completed Corporation Tax returns.

Would be grateful for any suggestions - am currently abroad and might be away for some coming months but cannot find any contact details to communicate with them via email. Too expensive to place an international call.

Many thanks

solution

the files in the hyperlinks, I was told, by a member from another form (scalloway) are .html files and they open if associated with internet explorer in the default programs.

hope this helps
