Pay less - Get more (New Start Up Help)

Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked before. I have just started my own business (limited Company) in Bristol. I have registered for PAYE and I want to begin to pay myself a salary. If possible I want to minimise the payments from my account (I.e tax, student loan etc).

I am looking to receive £1.6k a month. As I currently work from home I was going to set up a rental agreement to pay £550 a month from the business to my partner for room rental inclusive of rates (council tax, elec, water, wifi, etc) and pay myself £1200 therefore not paying Student Loan.

Also, I do use my car for work.

Is there any other way to minimise the amount going out? This way is a lot better than paying £2.3 to get £1.6 net.
