I currently use Iris Bureau Payroll and have just had my invoice for the annual licence at I baulked at the cost of £983 + VAT. This gives me 25 payrolls and I currently use 21. In addition there is a further small monthly fee for a client that uses OpenPayslips and OpenEnrol. Based on what i charge I still make a profit albeit only small.
I have seen Brightpay and Moneysoft talked about on here and have looked at their websites. I'm quite taken with Brightpay in preference to Moneysoft only on the basis that their website looks a little more professional and it has full functionality for AE. Any thoughts from other members please?

Same question
The same question was asked a week ago. https://www.accountingweb.co.uk/anyanswers/question/iris-vs-brightpay
I had a demo of BrightPay which helped me make my decision. Hope that helps.
Brightpay
Just renewed mine with brightpay - unlimited clients - all of £199+vat per annum.
First year end on Brightpay - went very easily.
Its different to Iris but learning curve is not too bad.
Ask for demo
Moneysoft is so easy to use
I have used Moneysoft for approx 50 payrolls, rangingfrom sole directors to 200+ employees. Absolutely brilliant at all levels
Brightpay is easy to use, great support, CIS function, Auto-enrolment handles all letters etc.
Unlimited clients and employees all for £199 plus Vat for bureau version - can't go wrong with that!
Into my 4th year using brightpay - very easy to use unlimited clients fantastic support
5***** from us - auto enrolment assessments and letters are brilliant too
Why pay extra for payslips?
Good grief, £983 + VAT + charges for payslips?? No wonder you’re making very little profit. It is simply crazy to continue to pay so much for Iris and Sage.
BrightPay and Moneysoft do the same thing for a fraction of the cost!! I’ve used both systems but I'm trying to move everyone over to BrightPay as their AE is very user friendly. Moneysoft works but it’s a bit dated and clunky.
Payslips
We jumped to Brightpay last year - no regrets apparently - so the member of staff tells me.
We have a box of IRIS payslip - Iris paymaster - can send you a sample - if you want them just pay courier charge.

I don't know about Brightpay, but Moneysoft will print payslips in about 10 different formats, including IRIS. We used to use IRIS PAYE-Master many years ago (and before it, Freeway) and we have continued to use IRIS (compatible) payslips ever since on Moneysoft. You can get them much cheaper from suppliers other than IRIS.
I can recommend Brightpay, you can trial it for 60 days and it's a breeze to operate with a fresh-looking interface.
Another vote for Brightpay!
We trialed it and made the move from Moneysoft a few weeks ago, with no regrets.
It is easy to use, great interface and handles AE very well.
Plus the support guys are very helpful.
More fool you

Inertia is a terrible thing. Jeez - you should've jumped ten years ago.
I too looked at both Moneysoft and BrightPay and in the end chose BrightPay for two reasons - nicer user interface (important to me!) and they're ahead in the game of automating AE. I'm very happy I moved. In your case, yes the savings should be a decent motivator too! Best thing is to trial for free.
