Payroo Employer allowance query

Payroo Employer allowance query

Didn't find your answer?

Hi ya there all,

I have a query regarding payroo software, although the main payroll, is practically faultless so far having just migrated from a another system, I have noticed the following:

The Employer allowance indicator box is ticked and double checked, however once payroll is submitted, The old p32 summary report does not show the reduced culmative amount payable. It Just shows the standard Employer Nics payable to HMRC.

Q1) Is this correct? and if not? what am I overlooking?

Any help would be massively appreciated, having scoured every inch of payroo's help and HMRC website for answers.. without much luck..

It appears that the instructions for using payroo are quite outdated for this tax year.. or perhaps I'm being nitpicky..

Many thanks

I think you are OK

I use Payroo too but I don't think this is a Payroo issue.

If you have filed an EPS to tell HMRC that you are taking up the Employer Allowance then (I think) all payrolls still calculate the ERNI that would be due but you simply underpay HMRC by the ERNI each month until the £2000 threshold of underpayment is reached. Then, you start to pay them the ERNI once again.

Note you do have to file the EPS or HMRC will simply think you are under-paying.

Hello Captain,

Many thanks for your reply, Have you seen the p32 record of funding yet? there is actually a column for the deductions, but they are still showing as Zero! like I said, I've read every inch of the help features, and so far nothing, no response even from the help team emails.

I would call, but I'm deaf.. kind of throws a wobbler in the situation, hence I thought I would see if any one has any problems here.

Kind Regards

CLC

My P32

Hi

The following columns of my P32 have figures (i.e. are not Zero in month one):

Gross NICs - Pre- Employment Allowance (col 5)Employment Allowance used (Employer NIC only) (col 6)Net NICs (Less Employment Allowance used) (col 17).

Not sure if that helps!

Edit: have you definitely filed an EPS?

Oh Dear,

Thanks for looking Captain,

So if your p32 shows the actual deduction in the blue column No 6, I wonder why mine isn't.

So just to clarify, I have ticked the employer allowance button and saved. processed the payroll as normal, saved and processed, updated the YTD, sent the FPS and EPS then printed all the employer reports needed, all gone through Successfully. but my p32 won't show anything.. for all of clients..

I feel as though something is amiss somewhere.

Its good to know in a way that yours is fine.. I wonder if it could be because I am new to the system? I have no previous YTDdata..

Check the EPS

I can confirm that I have figures in the blue column (col 6).

May I suggest you check the content of the EPS that you filed (you can view it on the screen as a PDF) and make sure that the Employer Allowance indicator is set to YES.

My only other thought is that I filed the EPS before I ran the month one payroll whereas you did it afterwards.

Beyond that I am struggling as to where to direct you. An e-mail to support seems the best bet.

Best of luck!

resolved!!
Hiya captain,

I managed to resolve it very late yesterday...turns out I put a balance of ££2000.00 in the employer allowance box under the indicator.. as soon as I took that out all of a sudden the p32s started showing the right info..

I had such a headache and such panic.. but all now resolved..

the next payroll I do will have the eps done first..

thank you so much for your help.

Many thanks
