Problems with CT600 filing

Problems with CT600 filing

Didn't find your answer?

Anyone else having difficulty in filing CT600s with 3rd party software? We've received a message saying CRN does not match HMRC records. Re-did the iXBRL in case there was a tagging problem, but when tried to resubmit was told return already received. Tried to call Helpdesk but informed queue more than 20 mins (suggesting they do have a problem at their end).

Problems with CT600 filing

Using third party software, just had the very same error message followed by the return already received message, had to continue polling for quite a long time as well. It looks as though it is a problem at the HMRC end.

HMRC investigating

HMRC introduced some new validation in the weekend upgrade and are investigating this problem at the moment as a matter of high priority.  Some returns are getting through and others not.

Probably best to hold off filing and keep in touch with your supplier to find out when the problem is resolved

CT filing problems

Yes, same here.  It didn't occur to me that it wasn't me.  I redid the accounts without the zero in front of the CRN, and made the CRN in the CT600 match it, and then got the same message that it had been filed already.

HMRC have announced this morning that the validation of CRN is now resolved, so any affected CT600's can now be re-submitted.

HMRC Onlime Filing For Small Companies

Does anyone know if a similar problem affected HMRC's online filing for Small Companies at the end of March / Start of April?

I completed a Short CT600 online using HMRC's CT600 Short Tax Return Self Filing for a company at the end of March, as I had done the previous CAP. The Company satisfies the requirements and has a very small turnover with "straightforward Affairs" (only trading income and well below the £6.5m).

A letter has been received since saying that the CT600 services is only for companies with "Straightforward Affairs" and over the phone we've been told we need to re-submit in iXBRL format.

I thought that HMRC's CT600 self filing service had iXBRL in-bedded so that this helped SME's reduce costs. Has HMRC had a problem or have they moved the goal posts?
