Hello, is anybody having problems getting through the ACCA technical support? I have been trying for almost two weeks with no success. It looks as though they have reduced the service, I used to be able to speak to somebody every so often but no chance of recent, no matter how many times I tried.
I hope they haven't cut the service as I don't see what value I get from my hefty subscriptions every year. I don't need a glossy magazine full of gobbledygook with no relevance to UK members I could do with some real support.

Try calling them first thing in the morning
The technical support line gets rather busy during the course of the day.

It is worth ringing them first thing in the morning or sometimes about 5pm.

P.s it could be worse, they could have put a premium number as technical support, which I believe some bodies may have done so in the past.

Going downhill fast
Whenever I've managed to speak to one of the advisers they've been extremely helpful. I have heard that ACCA have been making redundancies willy nilly and over half the technical team have left. The organisation does not seem to realise how much the members value the technical support. As a professional body they leave much to be desired

ACCA Technical Advisory Line

Hi Londonlady

I don't think that is true, we would have read something about in A&B as I believe that is the most valuable service ACCA offers that puts it above ICAEW in the UK, but your right it has been impossible get though to the point that I now subscribed to CCH, which offers a similar service and they answer all calls immediately and the service is exemplary.
