I'm just considering my options and what my '5 year plan' is. I've done ACA and CTA and I'm considering either ADIT or a Law degree to give me another skillet.
Obviously nobody can answer which will be best for me as nobody knows my career path for the coming years, but I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has done either qualification which has been most useful to them and why?
Also is a Law degree any use without then carrying on and doing an LPC?

I enjoy studying
Or I should say, I enjoy learning new things, and I get a buzz out of passing exams.
On my wish list/todo list, when I've got the money and the time, are:
1) STEP
2)/3) ADIT and THIS together. They seem compatible.
STEP

I just did this exam last Friday. Tough but interesting.
LLB
As ACA and CTA, did a p/t Law Degree a few years ago (five now I think!) and although not of any direct professional use as a qualification (without LPC or BPTC) , I found it interesting and of general use in day to day work.
Interesting to hear Steve Kesby is thinking of doing the MA at IofALS as looked at this last year as a possibility - other option was STEP. Need to let other half finish her current studies before starting something else myself! Also need to work out practicalities of travel as not London bases. Have been to a couple of the IofALS evening lectures and they have been worthwhile.
Personally not so sure about ADIT as do a reasonable amount of VAT and don't was to be seen to specialise there.
Won't be long before the urge to study something becomes to great to resist!
.
As FCCA, CTA and STEP I have considered but not progressed (i) a law degree, (ii) the ACA corporate finance qualification and (iii) the IFA qualification.
I'm one year without study and feel the itch may need scratched in another year or two, but in the meantime I will work on the golf handicap.
