I need to establish how many associated companies for Company 1 - I think I know but would prefer confirmation please.
Company 1 is owned by Mr H (20%) and Company 2 (80%)
Company 2 is owned by Mr B (99.9%)
Mr B also owns Company 3 (99.8%) and Company 4 (51%), the other shareholders in Company 4 are his daughter and son and also Company 5 (100% and an property investment company). He also has a handful of dormant companies which I am not counting.
Presumably as Mr B has common control throughout the number of associated companies for Company 1 is 4?

Marginal relief for pre 01/04/2015 AP I would have thought?
Interestingly
https://www.gov.uk/corporation-tax-rates/rates
says:-
Associated companies
Associated companies (where one company controls others) .....
Another example of 'dumbed down' gov.uk advice.
