Compatability with payroll software
When choosing any payroll software / AE providor I consider it to be paramount that the AE reports from the payroll software are compatible with the requirements of the AE providor - I currently see many hours being consumed by colleagues on .csv file editing because of the use of Pegasus Opera payroll software.
Couple of suggestions
Last year Iain Oliver of AECS looked at auto enrolment technology options, putting forward three core system designs: the auto enrolment hub, the payroll integrated solution, and the auto enrolment black box.
Alternatively Pension PlayPen compares the top pension providers to help you select a workplace pension scheme.
Cheers
Why QuickBooks?
I thought that QB was book-keeping software, rather than payroll software, so I am puzzled why you would tie your choice of pension provider to your book-keeping software.
I completely agree with DMGbus. You suggest, rather than recommend (although you are not breaking any rules if you recommend a pension provider to a company), to your clients that they might like to choose one of the pension providers which your payroll software can handle. If you were to use Moneysoft for payroll, you would find that it supports the file upload formats for a dozen pension providers.
Two points
Why QB? because we are using QB 2015 Pro for our bookkeeping and for payroll and we do not want to change to any other software. But I have no idea how QB will send information to pension provider and this is why I ask :)
If your question was specific to QB payroll, why on earth did you not mention it in your question and thus avoid responses which you evidently consider as irrelevant? Why don't you ask QB how their payroll software deals with AE and which pension providers' file formats they can handle? It is a basic feature of all payroll software these days, so they should be only too pleased to tell you.
However, a quick look at the QB Payroll website reveals no mention of AE, so you might have to change payroll software after all.
AutoEnrolment.co.uk
Hello there. I'm biased as I work at Smart Pension / AutoEnrolment.co.uk but here's why I think you should choose us! We undoubtedly have the quickest, simplest auto enrolment platform in the market, with no fees for employers and no hidden transaction fees for members (unlike nearly all other players - Now is 12 times more expensive than us in year one, while Nest is 3 times as expensive - we are adding an explanatory table to our site with this price comparison on it). Plus we are releasing the most advanced payroll integration in the market end September / start October as well as our advisor platform in early October (this will allow advisors to set up and manage multiple clients easily, under one roof). If you have any questions, please feel free to email us on [email protected] and we'll be happy to help answer any questions you might have. Thanks! Mark

Please could you confirm which payroll packages there is 100% compatability with please?
By 100% compatability I mean absolute zero manipulation of .csv files extracted from payroll package required.
Here's some payroll packages where I expect members of Aweb would be likely to pleased to see this 100% compatability:

Hi all. Apologies for delay in responding. We would rather not name the payroll providers that will work with the Smart Pension platform on day one just yet in case things change prior to announcement. But through our API any payroll partner will be able to integrate with us and there should be a number from day one, with the majority to follow in coming months. We are a technology focused company and are not fans of CSVs and other manipulation, much preferring robust integrations that work with a click or two and which self validate etc. Watch this space.
