Registering for gross cis status

Registering for gross cis status

Didn't find your answer?

Can you register a new company for gross cis status on the basis, that its income in the upcoming months will easily exceed the turnover limit, and the company passes all of the other tests.

If so how do I go about this, do I need to send in the form CIS 305 with a covering letter, or do I need to register the client as net, and wait until they hit the relevant turnover limit, and then try and register them as gross??

It seems unfair that they need to have £200k compared to the usual £30k. We have a company that has split in half and now each partner has formed their own ltd co and we are being told they cant go gross for 12 months, even though their turnover exceeds £30k easily.

CIS 305

I have just reported an error on the online form.  I completed it right to the end but the review and print option did not work.  Anyone else have this problem?
