Reminder letters

Reminder letters

Didn't find your answer?

HI

Just wondering if anyone know why the 2014 tax reminder letters has still not been issued and will they be issued soon?  My problem is how do clients pay their tax without the payslip which comes with their tax return reminder letters?

Website

Options on the HMRC site - click on Paying HMRC>Self Assessment.

Doesn't sound like reminders are coming out in the post.  Possibly because the Government doesn't own Royal Mail any more.

Too early

If they come out too early, clients just put them on the cornish and forget about them.

All together now!

Where have all the payslips gone, long time passing?

Where have all the payslips gone, long time ago?

Where have all the payslips gone?

HMRC cost cuts scrapped them everyone.

Oh, when will they ever learn?

Oh, when will they ever learn?

Apologies to Peter, Paul and Mary!

Anything official?

Has anyone heard anything official about this? I too am now receiving calls from clients who either do not own a computer or refuse to make payments over the internet.

SA361

Can't you just print an SA361 from HMRC's website and send it to them in the post?

(I know they're not called that anymore but you can still print a payslip on their website)

We can Craig, but..

That's not really the point!  My gripe is that if HMRC are going to stop the established procedure of sending payslips, it would be helpful to know in advance.  I could then have sent the clients SA361s with their tax returns in case they needed them. Now I find I am getting phone calls about lack of payslips at a rather busy time of the year!
