If you claim wear and tear on a furnished rental property - can you also claim the cost of tools purchased? ie tools for maintaining the garden, brush, lawn mower, hedge trimmer etc, power tools and drills for carrying out maintenance work on the property?
thanks

Capital Allowances are should be available for such items, as they are not used in the "dwelling house" - likewise computers, desks etc - with a restriction for any private use.
