It doesn't show the report icon and it won't let me post the link (possibly my phone), but the newest blog needs removing. It looks like AWeb have been taken over by ISIS.

Classy
Very nice. Though you'd have hoped the mods would have spotted that one themselves - we get a fair number of totally irrelevant 'blog' postings and they seem to be there for ages. Surely someone can have a quick scan of the blog page once a day? It's not like having to wade through long threads to spot naughty comments, it's there in your face.....
@ mrme89
I wouldn't worry, even if you'd reported the 'blog' it would still be there. If you report your own post they'd probably remove that instead (in a week or so).
Of course, if AWeb has been taken over by ISIS I'll probably be thrown off a tall building tomorrow. Such charming people, I can so see why people would want to leave this country to go join them.... (I'd be providing air tickets myself - one way, naturally)
Safari
I'm viewing on a Safari browser and I can see the report button so I've reported the blog post.
Google translate
I put the arabic writing into google translate - nothing too interesting, just talk of hash and drinking plus lots of names.
What's changed?
Henry managed to acknowledge every report, and it worked for both Henry, and the members. It meant the person reporting knew the report had been seen, even if nothing happened, although Henry usually explained why he was, or wasn't acting on the report.
As it is, no acknowledgement is received, and action may, or may not, happen. The person reporting doesn't know whether the report has been read, and considered to be just a 'moan' (re John S's remarks once) and not worth considering, or whether the mods haven't yet 'got around to dealing with it'. So what should the reporter do? Keep submitting reports, or just give up? Without feedback, the reporting system is likely to be used less and less and eventually fade away. Is this the mod's preferred outcome?
So what's changed (apart from Henry leaving)? Are the mods given too many other tasks, all with a higher priority than the actual moderating?
And its still there.
The problem is Shirley that if the top bod doesn't see it as important then the lesser beings have no motivation to bother either. And how many times in the past did it all kick off at weekends with a certain individual of Welsh persuasion being very abusive only for John to be seen on AWeb, receive reports and do nothing about it. It was always left till Monday for Becky to sort out. Nothing has changed except moderators coming and going.
We might as well just let all the crap remain. Then AWeb will go downhill, the advertisers won't want to pay anymore, the site will fold and they'll all be out of jobs. And we can post somewhere else and say 'we told them so'.
