Review of the year

Review of the year

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I'm in the midst of writing a review of the year, looking at what the government has done for small business. I'm reviewing its tax and accounting simplification reforms, Red Tape Challenge, employment law regulation changes and a few other areas. How effective do you think the changes are and have they benefited your clients?

Thanks,

Natalie

what changes are you thinking of ?

Er sorry Natalie but afraid cannot think of anything that has made our lives and that of our clients easier in fact quite the reverse with an ever increasing burden on small businesses and ourselves to do the governments job for it. They keep talking about "simplification" and "deregulation" but we do not see much of it at the cutting edge other than an abstract concept that is always just over the horizen and initiatives such as automatic pension enrolment are likely going to cause major issues for both us and our clients in the future.
