Hi
Due to a mistake in my 2014/15 payroll when an employee left and joined us in the same tax year, a duplicate record seems to have been created at HMRCs end, resulting in my PAYE liabilities being too high for the last couple of months.
I've written to HMRC asking for their figures, so that they can be corrected (via an EYU presumably, if HMRC won't do it automatically)
Is it likely the duplication will be carried forward into 2015/16 until the matter is resolved?
Thanks in advance.

Following as interested to know answer too......
Did you issue a new Ee no or brought them back on with their original number?
You shouldn't have to adjust the figures if it is HMRC's fault, surely it is down to them to put things right?
Have you opened a dispute case? If not I would advise doing so as this should stop any late/underpayment correspondence until things are resolved.
