RTI filing due but payroll may change

RTI filing due but payroll may change

Didn't find your answer?

A client's payroll is due to be filed on 28th of the month.  Client does not know if an employee will be off sick on 29th and 30th or in work.

So do I put through SSP and top up with salary next month if she does turn up or put through salary on those days in case she turns up? She has been off sick for months and keeps saying she will be back the following Monday.

I am not filing an FPS and amending it, I refuse to do this.

Why has RTI enforced some kind of guessing game on employers?

Thanks

RTI?
Why is it an RTI question? Whenever you decide what to do with the pay, file an FPS. It only has to be filed by pay day, by which time you must know the pay.
