Hi,
We are looking at changing from Sage 50 professional to either Access Dimensions, or Sage 200. Would appreciate some honest reviews of either. Advantages / Disadvantages.
We have turnover or est 6 millions. staff of 48. Need 2 users of accounting software, but also require 6 users who can only view (not edit) details from the sales ledger. We will not being changing our payroll software and will continue to use Sage Payroll.

I use Sage 200, £4m manufacturing, 2 finance staff, and 3 who view etc. + 1 storeman etc.
I really like the software, easy to get information out into Excel etc.
The company upgraded last year, before I joined. I had previously used Sage MMS, and also seen some shocking ERP systems elsewhere.
I am happy to comment further online, or, if you pm me, also happy to discuss further via direct emails.

Hi Angela
I have been a Sage 200 Consultant for Pinnacle Computing for the last 17 years, and have experience of Sage 50 and migrating from 50 to Sage 200.
I have never used Access Dimensions, but if you have any questions about Sage 200 I would be happy to discuss them with you.

We use Access Dimensions, moved from sage c 4 years ago, we are a charity - c £7m / 70 UK staff. Finance team has 6 users plus 2 extras adding to sales ledger - any other staff can have view only access to data they need via web portal which also manages invoice/purchase approvals. We use their document management both for finance and non-finance docs and also their payroll, although can't imagine interfacing to other payroll is hard. Reporting is good, we also use dashboards and report pack creator to push out finance info to managers, directors and trustees. Happy to say more via PM. MG
Access Dimensions
Hi M G
I was wondering if I could pick your brain please. Access are trying to sell us their software and I don't know anything about them or the software. I was wondering how good the software is in use and how good the overall support structure is. Our favourite software choice at the moment is SunSystems, purely because the Excel integration is the best I've ever seen - getting data in and out of the system is a breeze, which makes reporting much easier than with Sage.
I don't want to waste time talking to the salespeople if the software isn't robust or user friendly enough and the support isn't top notch.
Please could you get in touch. My direct line is 020 7866 0210 if you prefer calling.
Kind regards
Rob
