Sage 200 vatable journal?

Sage 200 vatable journal?

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I have to make an adjustment to the VAT return so I want to journal direct to the VAT account.

I don't think that when I will run the VAT return that this journal will appear on output tax (am i right here?)

So is there a way to post a journal that also appears on the VAT return?

Thanks!

Tom

If Sage 200 is the same.....

as Sage 50, just make sure that you T1 the journal, then it will show up in the VAT return.

Just to make sure, print the VAT return and back up.  Process the journal and re-run the VAT return, and see if you get the expected result.  If it hasn't worked as you wanted, then you can just restore the previous back up.

Hi Claudia - thanks for the reply.  I'm not sure what you mean by T1 the jounal.  Where should I see this?

My colomn headings for tax are; 'Tax Type' and 'Tax Code'.  Tax Type gives the option to select Output Tax and then Tax Code I can select 'Standard Rate'.  Will this do the same thing do you think?

Thanks!

VAT on Sage 200

Sage 200 does not work the same as Sage 50.

When you enter a journal you choose the Vat Type of Output Tax for the transaction to appear in the vat return in Output Tax.
