Sage 50 Accounts Plus 2011 - Import from execl...

Didn't find your answer?

Hi,

I am new to the forum, so please excuse me if this has been answered elsewhere.

We have Sage 50 Accounts Plus 2011 v17.0.15.208, on a Windows SBS 2011 we have 2 pc's both XP professional which are licenced to use Sage. On 1 computer, with admin rights & access, i try to import 2 different csv. files which we have done many times before & never had a problem, they contain customer records and sales ledger invoices. I follow the normal procedure of generating the files > Import wizard > back up Sage >  Choose data type (Customer Records/Audit Trail) > click next > that’s it, it just freezes, no error message, nothing it just hangs there until I end the process in task manager? I don’t even get to choose what file I want it stops!

Now for the silly part

PC 2 has fewer rights, access is on the same network reading the same data from the same file location, but the import process works fine, no issues what so ever???

Phoned Sage a few months ago but they said unless I had Sage cover or it was a known issue there was nothing they could do?

I can use the other pc but this is annoying the hell out of me so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance?
