Sage 50 Irritation - How to delete blank row

I use Sage 50 (because I have to!).  I cannot work out how, once a row has been started, one can get rid of it.  It appears to be impossible to delete it but an input screen will not close as it throws error messages (invalid date format, invalid value, or similar).

Does anyone know the trick or is it yet another irritation that Sage inflicts upon us just to wind us up?
